Terms & Conditions

FOOTY TIPPING COMPETITION
The AFL competition contains 22 separate rounds for entry, corresponding to the 22 rounds of matches of the 2009 AFL season. The rounds of matches for the season are available in the Smokò room or convinently online.

  • The Smart Fab footy tipping competition kicks off on 26 March 2009 and all employees and family members of employees are invited to register and test their predictive skills with amazing prizes to be won at the end of the season. The competition will close on 26 September 2009.
  • The competition ladder is sorted alphabetically, then by score
  • Entry is 100% free
  • Prizes will be awarded to people with the three highest scores.

HOW TO ENTER

  • To enter, entrants must first read & understand these Competition Rules detailed in this document before signing off on the last page.
  • By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and the tipping rules. For each tipping round in which an entrant wishes to submit tips, the entrant must submit their tips for each match in the tipping round prior to the deadline for the match.
  • Entrants may not change their tips for a match once entered.

LIMITATIONS TO ENTRY

  • A person must not register more than once. There is a limit of one entry per tipping round per entrant.

TIPPER RANKINGS

  • Tippers are firstly ranked by their weekly score, where the highest score is the highest rank.
  • Each week, for the first game in the round tippers will be required to enter a margin (example – Port to win by 50).
  • In the event of tied scores and margins, a count back on the previous weeks winning games (then margins) will determine the overall rankings.
  • End of season winners (first, second and third prize) will be determined by total score and then by their total margin.  

ABOUT TIPPING

  • The competition “closing time” is 1 hour before the first bounce of the first game.
  • Tips can be placed from Wednesday lunch time and are to be submitted to Alex in the front office or emailed from the online tipping page. On the occasion that an entrant will be absend for more then a week and will not have internet connection, it can be arranged for tips to be done in advance.
  • Tips will NOT be accepted after a game has commenced! ( Jens )
  • Points for correctly tipped wins earn two (2) points.
  • For the first game of each round, each tipster must select a margin their selected team will win by. Correctly selecting the margin within two points either way will earn two (2) points
  • Two (2) bonus points will be awarded for a perfect round.
  • One (1) point will be awarded to everyone in the event of a draw.
  • Three (3) points will be awarded for a correctly tipped draw.
  • The maximum number of draws allowed to be tipped per round is two (2).
  • Default tips for tippers who don't submit tips or for late entrants is all away teams. Minus one (1).

DEFINITIONS

  • Tipster: Person who is eligible to enter and has registered to enter the Footy Tipping competition, via the registration form on the Footy Tipping web site.
