Overview:
Structural steel fabrication is an area that Smart Fabrication is increasing our scope to include with each new job. We are fully capable of delivering high quality structural steelwork on-time and on-budget, often exceeding the customer's expectations. This is made possible through our ISO 9001:2012 quality system and our dedicated team that combines experience with enthusiasm to complete the job. Our current capabilities place us in a firm position to successfully carry out small to medium size structural steelwork . Larger structural steel fabrication and erection is an area we are looking at in the future with a move to become prominent structural steel fabricators.
   
Documentation:
All structural steel fabrication can be carried out with full traceability to satisfy the most stringent demands of our customers. With every project we can provide copies of the following: Inspection & Test Plan, Job Safety Environment Analysis, Safe Work Method Statement, Welding Procedure Specification, Welder Qualification Record, Welding Record Sheet and other verification records associated with materials, coating & application data, corrosion protection and delivery.
A much less paperwork intensive option is an online MDR (Master Date Record), this is presently in the trial stage with an Adelaide based consortium and has so far shown to be very successful. Key advantages of an online MDR are the ability to access the data electronically as soon as it has been uploaded to the web, as well as having all the information stored on a USB stick supplied at the completion of the project.
   
Site Capabilities:
We currently have 2 x trucks, 3 x 4WD utes, 1 x 20ft container, 1 x 10ft mini container & 1 x site trailer setup specifically for site work including; 2 flux core diesel welders, diesel compressor, breathable air filter system, oxy acetylene sets, grinders, drills, hand tools etc. Whether it be for an hour or a year we will come to you and get the job done!
