Scope of work: Approximately 2000 butts on gas pipe ranging from Ø25 SCH40 - Ø400 SCH160. All pipes free issued.

Cowandilla - West Beach Outfall Pump Station

Scope of work: Supply & fabricate all MSCL fittings for the pump station ranging from DN300-DN500.

Coromandle Valley EL286 HVOC Upgrade

Scope of work: Supply & fabricate all MSCL fittings for the pump station ranging from DN200-DN300. Includes manifolds, Tee's, reducers and bends.

NIAW (Network Integration & Ancillary Works)

Scope of work: Smart Fab's involvement on this $66 million package included approximately 45 Flowmetre tie-ins (all shutdown) around Eastern Adelaide ranging from DN250-DN1200, Install of Hope Valley, Wynn Vale, Beaumont, Springfield & Seacliff Pump Stations, numerous workshop MSCL & stainless spools & pipe supports, temporary stainless pump station, drill rig supports and site welding crews. All pipes free issued.

SOUTHERN EXPRESSWAY DUPLICATION PROJECT
Prime Customer: Department for Planning, Transport & Infrastructure (D.P.T.I)
Project Value: $100,000 - $150,000
Scope of work: MSCL Pipework for relocation of water mains under the new expressway. Includes workshop spools & site install.

Submarine Engine CRADLES

Scope of work: Heavy duty support jigs & all lifting components for removing diesel engine out of submarines.

1100TN STEEL CEMENT SILO

Scope of work: Repair work to all members of silo & full site install.

NSISP - Eastern Pipeline Package

Completion Date: 2012
Scope of work: Smart Fab's involvement on this $30 million project was as the sole subcontractor for all the site welding for the 12km of MSCL pipe on the eastern pipeline package. This included up to seven site crews each consisting of up to three confined space welders & labourers. Also included was a large amount of workshop spools; isolation valves, air valves, bends etc. The MSCL (Mild Steel Concrete Lined) pipe ranged from DN150-DN1000 and Smart Fab are proud to boast that with thousands of welds completed we still managed a 99.5% NDT pass rate. All pipes free issued.

NSISP - Central Pipeline Package

Scope of work: Scope of work: Smart Fab's involvement on this $23 million package was as the sole subcontractor for all the site welding for the 10.5km of MSCL pipe on the central pipeline package. NSISP - WESTERN Pipeline Package

Scope of work: Approximately 70 MSCL spools for Grange Road, South Australia, all DN600. All pipe free issed.

NSISP - WATTLE PARK, CLAPHAM & GILBERTON PUMP STATIONS

Scope of work: Site welding of various sie MSCL & stainless spools for the three pump stations. Includes modifications to pipework, supply of stainless and mild steel spools.

SUBMARINE SECURITY Propellor Platform
Prime Customer: Australian Submarine Corporation (A.S.C)
Project Value: $100,000 - $150,000
Scope of work: Design, fabricate and install an enclosed security/maintenance platform for the submarine's propellor. This is designed to keep the propellors out of satellite vision while repairs and maintenance can be made. The platform was approximately 7m long x 4m wide x 9m high. This job was barged from our workshop straight to the customer.

Kangaroo Island Sea Link Maintenance

Scope of work: Crew of up to 10 tradesman working on site at CUF (Common User Facility) at AWD (Air Warship Destroyer) complex. Scope included replacing both mild and stainless steel plate and pipe sections throughout the ferry.

Stirling Interchange Drainage Upgrade Project
Prime Customer: Department for Transport Energy & Infrastructure (D.T.E.I)

Scope of work: Smart Fab's involvement on this $4 million project was to design & fabricate a machine capable of carrying large concrete pipes through existing iron pipes under the Stirling interchange without disturbing the highway. This project was done well under time and budget with almost zero impact on the freeway

This was commended with two awards; the Civil Construction Federation’s 2010 Earth Award in Category 4 (Project value between $20 and $75 million), and the 2010 South Australian Engineering Excellence Awards in the Infrastructure Projects category.
