Smart Fabrication Pty Ltd (Smart Fab) undertakes the planning, design, construction and installation of a wide range of metal fabrication products. Our fabrication capabilities include tank fabrication & pipe work, heavy or light engineering, structural steelwork, stainless steel and aluminum work. Site work is made efficient with our fully equipped mobile service vehicles setup with dual welder and breathable air.

2011 saw Smart Fabrication grow its workforce by around 150% & now currently employs approximately 60 staff including; boilermakers, welders, pipe fitters, machinists, welding supervisors & inspectors, project managers, mechanical engineer, quality, accounting & administration teams. This same year Smart Fab also moved to a much larger location (approx 30,000m2) with approximately 150m of water frontage including 5 large slips capable of slipping vessels up to 1,500TN. A large propeller platform has already been sent by barge from Smart Fab's workshop directly to the Australian Submarine Corporation, the first of hopefully many items to be sent across the river.
Smart Fab is committed to maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and visitors to the site complying with AS/NZS 4801: 2001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. The company is also accredited to comply with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2001 Quality (Design & Supply).

Smart Fabrication Pty Ltd, working in conjunction with ARA Jobs (Australian Refugee Association) has established a training facility for job seekers new to Australia . These individuals are provided with some basic fabrication skills, tools and clothing in an effort to provide them with the skills to gain work in primary industries. Most of the trainees have been successful in securing work upon completion of the program.
